Requirements:
|
Develop reservation system for
multiple users to book taxi trips for all Medicaid
recipients in Montgomery County, Maryland.
|
| |
Solution:
|
We created a multi-user database
to allow County staff to receive multiple simultaneous
calls to book trips. Also, other staff member
simultaneously performed other duties using the
database such as reconciling invoices and verifying
the validity of Medicaid numbers.
Though the systems was very straightforward
requiring little training, a help file was created
using RoboHelp to document the operation of the
system especially for new County Employees.

Budget Allocation System
|
| |
Client:
|
Office of Management and Budget,
Montgomery County, Maryland
|
| |
Location:
|
Rockville, MD
|
| |
Tools Used:
|
Visual Basic, SQL Server
|
| |
Requirements:
|
The County needed a way to allow
all budget analysts to appropriate funds for the
next fiscal year. They needed a system that could
keep track of appropriations to ensure that they
didn’t propose to spend more money than they had
the next fiscal year. The final document would
be submitted to the County Executive for review,
changes and finally approval.
|
| |
Solution:
|
We developed a Microsoft Access
and SQL Server project to manage the County’s
budget. The system kept information in a consolidated
database so that they could at any time run reports
to see how funds were being allocated and any
balances.

Loan Information System
|
| |
Client:
|
Wells Fargo
|
| |
Location:
|
Frederick, MD
|
| |
Tools Used:
|
- SQL Server
- Active Server Pages (Dreamweaver)
- Internet Information Server
(IIS)
|
| |
Requirements:
|
Wells Fargo needed a way to efficiently
disseminate information to over 5,000 employees
and contractors who arrange loans for clients
on a very frequent basis. This information is
stored in a mainframe and is constantly updated
by loan officers and approvers from around the
country.
|
| |
Solution:
|
Saint Cyr Communications, Inc.
developed a “bridge” between Wells Fargo’s mainframe
system and Wells Fargo’s intranet. Reports that
the loan officers and managers needed were developed
using Active Server Pages to staff to receive
reports when needed. To increase performance and
security for the high volume of users, multiple
servers were used to implement the intranet-based
system.

Requirements:
|
The NPRA needed a way to collect
OSHA safety information from its member organization.
This data is used to produce an Annual Report
that the industry uses see the trend in safety
at their facility with respect to other companies
and national averages. Several calculations and
logic functions needed to be performed in order
to determine the eligibility of awards. A layer
of complexity is added as some calculations were
based on data from previous years.
|
| |
Solution:
|
Saint Cyr Communications, Inc.
created an Access database to collect the information
and perform all processing. The database also
is used for mailings, generating certificates,
and several rosters.

Develop Training Material and
Provide instructor-led training to faculty
|
| |
Client:
|
Montgomery College
|
| |
Locations:
|
Takoma Park, MD and Rockville,
MD
|
| |
Tools Used:
|
Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat,
Banner2000
|
| |
Requirements:
|
Montgomery College made an investment
in Banner2000 software and needed to train dozens
of staff members during a 6-week period before
another school year started.
|
| |
Solution:
|
We worked with County staff to
categorize the staff members by what they needed
to learn from the system. A step-by-step manual
was created such that staff could follow along
and learn how the pertinent modules of the software
operated. We then created a schedule to instruct
staff on how to use the software. The training
manual was a success so much so that the format
has been adopted to complete the entire manual
for the software and other County agencies are
starting to use that format for training manuals.

Inventory System for Military
Sealift Command
|
| |
Client:
|
DynMarine Services
|
| |
Locations:
|
Virginia Beach, VA
|
| |
Tools Used:
|
Microsoft Access
|
| |
Requirements:
|
DynMarine Services was in need
of an inventory system that had the flexibility
of capturing all the details that Government needed
regarding items on a ship. After an exhaustive
search for an off-the-shelf package, DynMarine
decided to create one from scratch.
|
| |
Solution:
|
We created an inventory system
that tracked all items and replacements on ship.
Every piece of equipment can now be accounted
for regardless of whether it was brand new or
bought to replace faulty equipment. Brand new
equipment are traceable to any equipment it was
replacing it and to personnel who authorized the
purchase. At any time DynMarine now know the value
of any ship under its control by simply running
a report.
